NaNoWriMo Prep & Progress Guide
A dynamic dashboard, tracker, and resources portal for use during NaNoWriMo 2023
National Novel Writing Month is a free creative challenge held every November. The goal is to write 50,000 words toward a novel in 30 days.
Challenges like NaNoWriMo are great for fostering creative community and jumpstarting progress on a big project.
But without some planning and reflection beforehand, many writers fizzle out halfway through and feel guilty and discouraged for letting themselves down.
We designed this resource to get you off of the starting-but-never-finishing cycle and instead on the right track for completing a messy first draft of a book in November.
Here at Storytelling Collective, we are experts in helping writers finish their projects. We want every writer to feel empowered and motivated to see their ideas to fruition.
Why? Because finishing a project is how we practice and hone our craft and how we honor our personal goals and dreams.
How it works:
There is no spreadsheet coding required to use this guide! Simply type in your information or use the dropdowns to make updates.
Use the Story Dashboard as your project’s “hub.” Add project details like the title, genre, and synopsis, and link directly to your documents for easy access in November.
Use the Word Count & Motivation Tracker to document your progress and mood throughout the month. The graphs update automatically!
Need support or actionable steps for maintaining progress, motivation, or inspiration? Access the eight built-in resources directly from the tracker tab.
